 The Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning



With the help of multimedia presentations, our sensory memory captures some words and pictures using our ears and eyes. These visuals or audials are selected and organised in our working memory as well as combining with our prior knowledge. At the end, when the information taken to the long term memory; the multimedia learning is completed. Of course, this is the simple way of explaining the working process of cognitive theory of multimedia learning. However, to have more elaborate information about Mayer's Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning, here's a video. Perhaps, with the help of a video ,which can be an example of multimedia presentation, it would be easier to understand better.

One of the benefits of Jamboard is its easiness: in education by using this digital whiteboard, learners facilitate from images, drawings, photos unlike traditional whiteboards. Accessibility as another benefit, helps both students and teachers to use it in distance education as well.

 EDMODO " Edmodo is a global education network that helps connect all learners with the people and resources needed to reach their full potential." ( https://new.edmodo.com/)   Edmodo is a tool that can be used during distance education by students and teachers as well as parents. Edmodo provides a classroom environment through Internet; sharing materials, commenting on posts, creating and submitting assignments, updating and informing are what Edmodo ensures. With the usage of technology in education, learning becomes more effective for students. Edmodo as a platform, is a well-known and a useful example on this.
