The Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning
With the help of multimedia presentations, our sensory memory captures some words and pictures using our ears and eyes. These visuals or audials are selected and organised in our working memory as well as combining with our prior knowledge. At the end, when the information taken to the long term memory; the multimedia learning is completed. Of course, this is the simple way of explaining the working process of cognitive theory of multimedia learning.
